Construction works are well underway; manpower reaches up to 90 workers on-site per day, two tower cranes are in operation and 4000m3 of concrete has been poured to date. Over the coming months continued work will take place on the double basement and the structural steel works to the office blocks will commence.
Planning permission has been granted for a development of 288 build-to-rent residential units at JJ Rhatigan's Crown Square Development in Galway, where construction recently started on the commercial aspects of the project.
Throughout this Galway 2020 programme, the themes of language, landscape and migration come to life. Structured around the old Celtic calendar of Imbolc, Bealtaine, Lughnasa and Samhain, Galway 2020 begins in February and runs through until the end of January 2021.
